Selling Tips
Here are some tips to help you make your selling on eBay efficient and effective.

Listing your item

Eligible Item
Before you list your product for sale make sure it is legal and allowed. If you are not sure if your item is allowed read eBay’s restricted and prohibited items policy.

Selling Formats
Try using different selling formats for different products. Consider using the fixed price format for commonly available items. Try the auction format for items for which the price is not easily known.

Categories
Choose the most specific category for your item. This will help buyers find your item. If your product falls in two categories select a secondary category to maximize your item's visibility. If you are not sure of which category your item falls under use eBay's Suggested Categories feature to get a list of suggested categories.

Item Title & Description
While entering the item title and description place yourself in the buyers place and think of all the information you would need before you buy the product and include that information. Think of what words you would use to search for the item and include these words in your item title. Keep the item in front of you to help you add information to your description.

Pricing
Define your product price well. If you are not sure of what your product price should be look for items that have been completed on eBay and see what price they sold for. This will help you set your starting price or your Buy It Now price.

Payment Methods
Offer PaisaPay as a payment method. eBay recommends offering PaisaPay as a fast, easy, and secure way to accept credit card or checking account payments on eBay. Learn more about PaisaPay.

Communicating with buyers

Respond to buyer questions timely
Ensure to respond to buyers questions about the item in time. You can track your items in your My eBay. Quick response to buyer questions builds your impression as a professional seller.

Know your buyer
Check your bidders / buyers profile, feedback comments from other sellers to know you are dealing with a good buyer.

Have up-to date contact information
The contact information provided during registration is your primary contact with your buyers and eBay. Ensure the information is up to date so that you don’t limit your buyers from contacting you.
