FAQs on eBay India

• Why has the site changed?
We have integrated the Baazee site with the global eBay network. The site has changed to make sure it is compatible with eBay.

• Can I use my Baazee id to log in to eBay India?
You need to use the userid sent to you by email to log in to eBay India. However, please note that eBay only displays lower case characters in the user id.

• I am unable to log in with my Baazee Id. Why?
Your Id on eBay India might be different from your Baazee Id only in the case where your Baazee Id was already taken by another user on eBay. We request you to please check the mail we have sent which contains your eBay User Id. You can also look up your new user Id here (https://cgi1.ebay.in/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?FindNewUserID)

• Why is my feedback different on eBay from Baazee?
Users can continue to leave feedback on the old Baazee site for items that closed on Baazee. We shall be migrating that feedback on to eBay India at a later date.

• My Baazee personal information has changed. Why?
As you had an id on eBay with the same mail id as Baazee, your personal information has changed to reflect the informartion on eBay

• What are the fees for listing on this site?
eBay charges 5% on the final selling price of your product (up to Rs. 4,000.00). Thereafter, fees are charged at 2.5% on the remaining amount that exceeds Rs. 4,000.01. This is subject to a minimum of Rs 3/- per transaction. Please note eBay fees are charged only if a sale takes place successfully.
There are also options available for better promotion of your products which you can choose to use by paying a nominal fee.
For the duration of this special preview, each seller will be refunded all the final value fees, feature fees, reserve fee, picture service fee, real estate insertion fee incurred by the seller up to a maximum of Rs. 5,000/-
Please note that the Final Value Fees will be refunded only for any sale that happens before the 23rd of March.
International listing fees, store subscription fees, stores feature fees, selling manager/seller assistant fees, sales reports plus any listings listed on non-India eBay site will not be credited.

• Is there a listing fee for listing on this site?
No. Listing your Products on eBay is absolutely Free and will be charged only if you sell your product successfully, or if you select any of the Featured Listings Options.

• There is no icon to add pictures in Description?
You do not need to manually add your image to the description anymore. The image you upload under Picture 1 ( Free) will be automatically inserted along with your description.

• What is a picture pack?
A Picture Pack is a combination of various picture services available on eBay. You can select a combination of standard, supersize, slide show etc at a nominal rate of Rs. 12.00 up to 6 images in any picture format or Rs Rs. 18.00 between 7 to 12 pictures

• Can I add my own themes or customize the layout?
You can design your own page layout by adding your own HTML templates in your description area

• What is the Page Counter?
The Page Counter gives the number of clicks / visits on your item page

• How do I tell my buyer in whose favor to make the cheque / DD?
You can use the "Payment Instructions Box" available in your SYI form to communicate to the buyer about cheque/DD details. Alternatively, when the buyer places an order with you, you can communicate the same via email.

• Is it compulsory to sell internationally?
No, We do not make it compulsory for you to sell internationally. You can choose to list your products only in India. However you can increase your sales by reaching to millions of users across the globe by selling internationally

• Is Shipping Insurance compulsory?
Shipping Insurance is not compulsory but definitely advisable.

• Do I have to bear the shipping insurance?
No, eBay does not force you to bear the shipping insurance. You have the option of passing on the charges to the buyer

• What is Shipping Discount?
A Shipping Discount is a discount that you may provide your buyers for purchasing more than 1 quantity. There are various types of discounts that you can give. Kindly open your SYI form and under Shipping Discounts select the type and amount of discount you would like to give your buyers for purchasing multiple quantities from you

• I do not have any sales tax registration. Can I still sell on eBay?
eBay does not force you to have a sales tax registration to sell on the site. But for regular sellers, we recommend you register with sales tax authorities to minimise any liability in the future.

• How do I edit my listings?
Yes you can edit your listings once it has been submitted. Log on to My eBay---> Selling Section->Selling--->Action--> Please note you cannot edit the format of listing once it goes live. You cannot delete any information once you have received any bids.

• Is there a difference in the post-order process from Baazee?
The basic objective remains the same however the functionality is slightly different. The same can be viewed under the Help Section

• What are the different icons in the "Sold" section of my eBay?
The different icons under the Sold Section can be used to indicate the status of your order so far. E.g: Clicking the RS button indicates that you have received payment for this item. Clicking the Star Button indicates that you have left a feedback for your buyer etc

• Has the SNC process changed?
Yes, the SNC Process has changed. It has been replaced by UPI Process that stands for Unpaid Item Process. The process and the policy of the same can be found on the Help Pages.

• What is UPI? What is the process?
The UPI - UnPaid Item process needs to be followed incase your buyer defaults in sending payment to you. eBay, by policy, does not charge you for a sale that has not completed successfully. To report an UnPaid Item, you need to follow a certain process which can be read in more detailed on the Help Pages.

• What are eBay preferences?
eBay Preferences Link helps you customize how you want your eBay Page to look. You can customize your Sign in Pages, your Selling Preferences. You can also use this link to block a certain buyer from bidding on your listings incase you feel that the buyer is not genuine.

• What is the Power Seller Program?
The Power Seller Program is very similar to the Baazee Super Seller Program. Details of this program can be found here in the Help. All Baazee Super Sellers will automatically become Power Sellers on eBay for the first 6 months. During this period, they stand to lose their status if their positive feedback % drops as follows:
First 3 months - below 85 %
Next 3 months - Below 93 %
After 6 months - Below 98 %
Please note that if you lose your Power Seller status within the first 6 months, you need to meet the eBay India Power Seller criteria to regain the status

• How do I edit ratings on eBay?
Ratings, once given, cannot be edited on eBay. However, users can use the Mutual Feedback Withdrawal process to remove feedback ratings if they feel it is unjustified. Also, any feedback that is viewed as Feedback Abuse may be removed. For more details, visit our Help Pages.
