How do I apply for a Pan Card?

As per RBI guidelines, entities making e-commerce transactions are required to provide PIN (Personal Identification Number) while executing an online transaction. Accordingly, before making payment for online PAN/TAN applications using credit/debit card, please ensure that the PIN is obtained from your respective banks.

Is PAN Number/PAN card essential / What are the alternatives?

Yes, PAN is mandatory. Photocopy of PAN card has to be submitted along with the application. If PAN card is not issued to the applicant then a copy of PAN allotment letter from the I.T. Dept will also be accepted.
