Payments: Payment Options
The guiding principle around which payment options to offer is "What is the payment option most preferred by the buyer?" There are various payment options that you can specify for your buyers, however for international selling, the option preferred by most buyers is PayPal.

Benefits for Buyers: - Affordable - PayPal is free for buyers
- Convenient - Buyers can use their bank account, a credit card or their existing PayPal balance to pay for the item
- Trusted - PayPal offers free protection to buyers up to $2000
What this means for a seller is that if you offer PayPal, your items are more likely to sell.

Benefits for Sellers: - Easy way to accept credit card and online banking payments
- PayPal's dedicated chargeback team fights chargebacks on a seller's behalf

Other Payment Options You can also specify the following payment options (for buyers in the US):
- Cashier's Check – This is the equivalent of a Demand Draft in India.
- Personal Check – These are regular checks issues by the buyer.
- Merchant CC – If you are registered as a merchant for a Credit Card company you may specify this option.

Keep in mind that international cheques take longer (up to several weeks) to clear.
