For sellers listing on the India site can sell using PaisaPay.

PaisaPay is an online payment service that lets businessmen and consumers send and receive payments online in a secure, convenient and cost-effective manner. At present we support Credit Card payments and Online Bank Transfers.

Currently Online Bank Transfers can be done through the Internet banking services of four leading banks. These banks are ICICI Bank.com, IDBI Bank - inetbanking, HDFC Bank - DirectPay, UTI Bank - iConnect, Bank of Punjab - ePayments, Global Trust Bank - ibank@gtb, Centurion Bank - ePay and Federal Bank - FedNet, Bill Junction

PaisaPay is beneficial for both sellers and buyers. For sellers it is the easiest and cheapest way to accept online payments from all buyers who have Credit Cards or Online Bank Accounts.
Buyers too can make payments for their online purchases instantly and safely. This service eliminates the delay and hassle of a conventional cheque/demand draft payment mechanism.

Tip #2: Specify International Shipping Destinations Back to top
Shipping to multiple international destinations can provide:
  • Maximum global exposure.
  • Higher sales volume.
  • Increased listing prices.
When you create your listing, you can choose to ship worldwide or to select countries.

Use the Sell Your Item Form to provide this information:

Consider the following when deciding whether to ship internationally:
  • Shipping costs: Costs to ship to other countries can vary greatly depending on the distance and shipping methods. Most sellers specify that the buyer pay shipping costs for international sales.
  • Insurance: You should insure all internationally shipped packages. Your carrier may provide automatic coverage.
  • Customs and documentation: All internationally shipped packages must clear customs in the destination country. As the seller, you may need to provide additional paperwork.
Tip #3: Include Shipping Costs for Multiple Countries Back to top
Provide shipping costs for multiple countries in your listings. Also specify whether the buyer or the seller will be responsible for shipping expenses. This can encourage buyers to make an immediate decision regarding a purchase, because the shipping cost is readily available.

Use the Sell Your Item Form or your preferred selling tool to provide this information:

International shipping costs are based on a combination of the following:
  • Weight and dimensions of package
  • Method of shipment such as Ground, Next Day Air, and so forth
  • The location that you're shipping from (city, state, country)
  • The location that you're shipping to (also called the destination country)

Consider that buyers may need to pay additional costs such as duties, taxes, and customs clearance fees. For example, international rates may or may not include pickup and door-to-door delivery with customs clearance. The package will arrive at a buyer's door, but the buyer might need to pay extra international fees.

Some carriers will offer customs and brokerage services to help you learn more about what you need to tell buyers about additional charges, duties, and taxes. An "extended area surcharge" may apply to your buyers depending on their international locations.

Use the UPS Quick Cost Calculator to calculate shipping costs to and from any country.

Please note: This shipping information is provided to you for general information purposes and may not be applicable or accurate for shipments processed with some carriers or for goods shipped across certain international borders. Please check with your carrier for any special rules that govern your shipment of goods. For international shipments, please also check with countries whose borders your shipment may cross for any additional rules, regulations, duties, or taxes that apply.

Tip #4: Use Item Specifics Back to top
Item Specifics is an eBay feature that appears at the top of your item description; it enables sellers to provide additional item details within a category.

Item Specifics are translated into all site languages and are determined by the category in which you sell your item. For example, the Item Specifics available in an apparel category would be related to size and style, while Item Specifics in a CD music category could refer to genre and condition.

Item Specifics are generally optional but provide the following advantages:
  • International buyers can search for your items quickly and easily using an additional search method (for example, by size or by style).
  • You can provide more details about your items thus helping international buyers to make informed purchases.
  • International buyers can use consistent terminology and spelling to search for items.
  • The location that you're shipping to (also called the destination country)
Note: The Item Specifics feature is not available for all categories.

How to View Item Specifics

When buyers browse your item's category, the Item Specifics appear as search options in a Product Finder.

Buyers navigate these Product Finder options using pull-down menus or links like the ones below to help them search for items by a specific item characteristic. This gives buyers a fast and easy way to search for your items.
