A Duplicate Listing occurs when a seller lists multiple identical items in more than one listing. The best method to list identical items is through our Dutch Auction format. We understand sellers have reasons to list identical items at the same time. This is permissible as long as the seller can complete the sale of all listings. However, there is a limit to the amount of identical, or duplicate, listings allowed on eBay. Duplicate listing policy Sellers may not concurrently have more than 10 listings for identical items. If a seller chooses to list in more than one category, the seller must still adhere to the multiple listings limit of 10. Sellers may not use multiple User IDs to list more than 10 identical items. Why does eBay have this policy? The eBay marketplace should be a level playing field for all members. The number of identical listings allowed per seller is set at 10 so that no one seller can dominate page views (and the marketplace) thus making it more difficult for buyers to locate the full range of options available.
