I am a teenager based in Mumbai.. Currently completing my graduation in Management Studies. The experience of interacting with hundreds of users upon ebay has greatly contributed to my communication skills and helped me develop loads of contacts with different people all around India.

How long have you been using the eBay Site and what do you use it for? How did you first hear about the eBay Site?
I am an old baazee.com user. I heard about baazee from its television ads and started selling. After acquisition by ebay I feel the site is much more professional and advanced.

What is the main category on the eBay site in which your items are bought or sold? What is the most unique item you have bought or sold on eBay? Which purchase/sale has made you very happy?
My area of specialization is Mobiles & Accessories category, I also sell in Computer accessories, however, mobiles & pda's remain my first love. My most interesting sale would be my old set of 'World Book' which I used in school days. It was my bible in school projects and I was paid a handsome 15000 for it from a buyer in Bangalore. Did anyone think 2yrs back that secondhand books can sell at 15k on Baazee??

Who is your favorite eBay seller/buyer and why? What has been your best experience at eBay till date?
--All members with whom I interacted were good and all are my favourite as they all taught me something or the other.

My favorite buyer will be Robin who came as an online customer for a PDA and happens to be one of my best friends sharing the same college campus (although he is 3 years senior to me). As for seller I guess in old baazee Viranicollections was my favorite seller just because of the kind hearted and genuine person he is.

We have observed that you often spend time on the Community boards, interacting with users and helping other users with their queries. What attracts you towards the community boards? What is your motivation for spending time on the Community boards?
I simply love the community boards because it's a platform where everything, every problem related to ebay gets answered and discussed. All members there are very cooperative and friendly. I love eBay communities, I like to guide new users and love getting advices and tips from other senior members. The appreciation received in the form of Community Award is great.

As you mainly use eBay to sell items, do you have a certain strategy that helps you to sell the items that you really want to sell?
I was not a businessman or a professional when I started with ebay. But ebay(Baazee) made me a businessman and gave the right attitude. The effect is very clear in class discussions where I have an unique edge over the others i.e. practical and firsthand experience.

Yes there are a lot of fundas of selling … the best being is maintain a good rating and no matter how rudely the other party talks always be polite !! I have learnt and now practice that biggest of differences and disputes can be solved by an honest and polite communication. Maintaining a variety of goods and making simple and genuine listings without any hidden costs or headache for the buyer will help. Buyers like to have things as simple as possible!!

What tips would you give to people out there who are selling or buying their items on the eBay Site?
eBay is new, but its definitely more promising than baazee and more mature. I will request all sellers to understand new processes and respect the policies. As for buyers, my suggestion would be to discuss and sort problem out instead of giving negative rating. Also buyers must watch out for fraud sellers selling at mouthwatering rates and then running away with their money!!

Do you think your feedback rating on the eBay Site has improved your reputation as a buyer or a seller?
Feedback plays the most vital role in building confidence. With a good feedback you can look to sell intentionally aswell …

What eBay feature or service would you say has been the most helpful to you and why?
There are many features like Paisa Pay account and Bidder management tool, Merge Id's, etc, however, its not just one particular but a combination of well planned tools that brings success to ebay !!

If you mainly use eBay to sell items, have you ever bought anything on eBay?
Yes I am a buyer - I buy books - apparels and accessories online!! I also hunt for unique items not available in Mumbai!!
