What are your top priorities?
My and my team's top priority is to help interested sellers understand and start a successful and safe business on eBay. The biggest challenge is the reservations users have about starting a full-time business on internet.
What skills have you found yourself utilizing most in your career at eBay?
I believe my ability to be organized and paying attention to detail has helped me tremendously since I interact with several users every given day. Other skills that have helped me are marketing and communication skills.
What are some of your most memorable eBay moments?
Honestly, every day spent in ebay has been very memorable for me, right from the day of receiving the offer letter. However, my most treasured moments are the ones when I have received appreciation from eBay users. "I never Seen her, but She is a Good Friend from eBay". "I Like Tanya the most as she has been a great help to me every time. Wanna thanx her for being such a great Person" It goes to prove that users have faith in us and believe that we genuinely want them to grow, and are not just selling eBay features.
What's the most rewarding part of working at eBay?
The fact that daily you help someone start their business on ebay to earn that extra income seems to me as one of the most rewarding part of working at ebay. The thrill to advise young students, retired citizens or even housewives on ebay makes me proud of doing something worthwhile.
What do you like to do for fun?
I love spending time and catching up with friends, reading non fiction and listening to music. I also love to travel and explore new places. I have already toured Europe, the Far East and some parts of the US. My next destination will be South Africa and Australia.
What's the most memorable item you've bought or sold on eBay?
I can proudly say I have bought a lot of stuff from eBay ranging from t-shirts, kurtis, mobile and ladies accessories. I must add here that each item bought has always exceeded my expectations (believe me I am not bragging about eBay).
I have also tried my hand at selling and have successfully managed to sell a lot of unwanted stuff lying around at home. The weirdest thing I sold was Rubber Tips that is used to count money. I didn't think it would sell but I put it up anyway and to my surprise it sold under Buy It Now! The most expensive product I sold was my old A/c and was delighted at the price the deal was cracked on!!! I received positive ratings for both products.
