IAMAI and eBay India present the Ninth Digital Marketing Roundtable in Bangalore

Bangalore, March 5, 2010: eBay India (www.ebay.in), India's leading eCommerce Marketplace, in association with the Internet & Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) hosted the Ninth Digital Marketing Roundtable in India's IT Hub Bangalore. The lively panel discussion & networking evening on the topic "Harnessing the power of the Web: Building Brand and Driving Sales", brought together marketing & advertising professionals from both digital & traditional companies.
The Ninth Digital Marketing Roundtable kicked off with an engaging panel discussion by distinguished speakers: Neeraj Chandra, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Britannia Industries Ltd; Rahul Agarwal, Executive Director Global Marketing Communications & Hub, Lenovo; Aditya Nath Jha, Head, Global Brand & Communication, Infosys Technologies; Kiran Gopinath, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Ozone Media Solutions Private Limited; Unny Radhakrishnan, National Director - Digital, Maxus Global (WPP Group). The session was moderated by Ambareesh Murty, Country Manager, eBay India & Vice Chairman, IAMAI. An interactive session with the attendees followed the panel discussion.
Mr. Ambareesh Murty, Country Manager, eBay India shared, "Today's digital world has fulfilled a consumer's need for reliable information. Consumers are having online conversations about brands 24x7 with their friends, networks and even other consumers & influencers. The question for a marketer is can he afford to ignore the power of the web without harming his brand."
The discussions spanned an eclectic range of topics including how life has changed for marketers courtesy the web, the need for a digital strategy, the web's relevance beyond metros, online transactions powered by digital and the evolution of business practices. Examples and case studies from the panel's experience peppered the discussion. Professionals involved in both digital and traditional marketing came together to discuss the influence of the internet in consumer's lives and digital marketing best practices.
