India's Leading Online Marketplace, today shared an update on Global Trade on eBay India since its recent launch. Just over 30 days ago, eBay India, formerly Baazee.com, launched on March 24, 2005 marking the final integration of Baazee's technology platform with eBay's platform. With this, Indian users got access to the eBay global marketplace. Buyers and sellers in India now have access to a global trading community of 135 million users in 33 markets worldwide.
Avnish Bajaj, Country Manager, eBay India was present on the occasion to felicitate the first Indian seller who traded internationally. Dr. Vineet Srinivasan, Illusions India, a dentist with a passion for ecommerce sold a diamond solitaire to Mark Baugh from Dallas, Texas in USA.

Dr. Srinivasan was the first of 378 Indian sellers who have sold to buyers from 31 countries since the launch of eBay India. In fact, 16 items sell to international buyers every hour on eBay India. Global Trade on eBay is all trade on the eBay platform between sellers and buyers who live in different countries and thus, the goods cross international borders.
