Log onto eBay's Want It Now - the only place where Buyers demand and Sellers deliver
Mumbai, January 16, 2006

eBay India, India's leading online marketplace, announced the introduction of Want It Now, a completely buyer centric feature. Want It Now, is the only place where buyers can demand unusual or unavailable products and sellers can cater to this demand.

On Want It Now, no matter how out of the ordinary your demands, you think it, and be sure YOU'VE GOT IT! In fact, Want It Now is designed to cater to just such products that are not available on market shelves under any category, gaining maximum attention for your requirement completely free.

The Want It Now post offers the sellers an ideal opportunity to gauge what the buyers are looking for. Put simply, Buyers post a message to 'Want It Now' with a description of what they'd like to buy, and sellers are allowed to respond to the specific query with a range of their offerings.

Kunal Verma, second year Mechanical Engineering student reflects that wide-eyed confidence, as he reveals how eBay came to his rescue. "The exam dates were drawing near, and I was nowhere close to opening those books on Theories and Structures of Machines. Of course, friends wouldn't lend, and I had already wasted enough time trying to find them at bookshops. In desperation I logged in my query with eBay, and was pleasantly surprised when a bookshop at Churchgate responded to my request. We struck a deal; I now have those books at a reasonable price."

eBay India is a vibrant online market place for India's biggest online trading community and it constantly ventures into innovative mediums to fulfill the aspirations of its users. Working towards this direction the company recently introduced 'Want It Now'. The new section recently introduced by eBay India is a first of its kind feature that gives online shopping a whole new meaning. A feature where you don't wander around the thousands of listings but just send in a request and wait for thousands of sellers across countries to fulfill them for you.

Already quite a rage in other eBay markets like the US and UK, 'Want It Now' in USA once had quite a unique request. Intel has been searching for a long time for a particular issue of an old magazine. Intel contacted eBay to help them in their search for a mint condition copy of the April 19, 1965 issue of Electronics Magazine. This magazine contains the now famous article known as Moore's Law written by Gordon Moore, Intel's co-founder. The company decided to post an ad on "Want-it-Now" and ended up buying the issue from a UK seller for $10,000. So those purple yoga mats for your weekly yoga class or the exercise ball for your home is just a post away. Log onto www.eBay.in/wantitnow
