Kolkata, April 27, 2016: India Post, the Government operated postal system has brought a wave of change to the lives of eBay India sellers in Kolkata through a dedicated counter at Kolkata GPO.

The exclusive counter will offer hassle free service of booking speed post and registered posts for eBay India sellers at reasonable prices. There are over 70,000 eBay sellers in India who sell both domestically and to over 162 million buyers around the world. Kolkata itself has over 500 sellers and on a daily basis approximately about 250-500 parcels are shipped from Kolkata.

Mr. Navin Mistry, Head Retail Exports and Lifestyle Category, eBay India said "It is our merchants who make us the largest online shopping mall and therefore we always aim to ensure that our sellers are given the best possible amenities. Tying up with India Post will help our sellers have a seamless postal experience across the country through these 15 dedicated counters. We hope to continue and strengthen this association with India Post across geographies."

eBay India has several mechanisms to provide sellers with a robust ecosystem ensuring smooth functioning of their business. In the past three months, eBay India has associated with India Post across 11 cities making shipping convenient for the valued merchants.
