Second, if a court were to find that your remarks constitute libel or defamation, you would be held legally responsible for damages to that member's reputation.
Feedback posted by members of eBay are solely the opinion and responsibility of the person posting the feedback and eBay does not endorse, approve or control feedback that may be posted by its users. eBay being merely an Online Marketplace and an intermediary is not is not the originator of the remarks that members post, even if those remarks are defamatory or in any manner illegal and expressly disclaims any and all liabilities and responsibilities arising out of any feedback. However, this does not protect the person who leaves the feedback from responsibility for it.
Feedback cannot be edited once it has been left, however it can be removed subject to provisions mentioned in Feedback Abuse, Withdrawal and Removal. It generally becomes a permanent part of a member's eBay record and is viewable by the entire eBay community.
