Discussion Forums are now called Discussion Boards
As you know, eBay India’s discussion boards are a great place to meet and interact with other members, to get advice, share and find information on everything from art to travel. Browse through the discussion boards and find an area that interests you.
NEW: ‘Ask a Question’
A new ‘Ask a Question’ feature that looks through Discussion Boards and the Answer Centre to find what other members have to say about your question.
NEW: ‘Answer Centre’
The ‘Answer Center’ is the place for eBay buyers and sellers to ask fellow members questions about buying and selling on eBay. You can also share tips and information that you feel will be useful to fellow members.
The new community has an Answer Centre organized into the topics that mean the most to you. You can go into a relevant topic and post your question to get answers from the community members.
NEW: ‘Groups’
‘Groups’ is a great place to connect with other community members who share similar interests.
The new community has Groups organized around the topics of interest.
Share your thoughts on these changes! Visit the New Community Experience discussion board and let us know what you like, ask any questions, or share suggestions. Your feedback plays a huge part in future Community enhancements.

- Why is eBay India making this change?
- This change is being made in order to encourage more interaction between the user community by introducing more features, an updated look and a better user experience.
- What’s changing?
- The following features will either be updated or altogether new:
- New “ask a question” feature, Answer Centre & Groups
- The ability for you to give kudos (likes) to other users’ posts
- When you ask a question, you’ll be able to see when an answer is posted, and then “Accept the Solution” if you think the answer is a good one. Every time you accept a solution, you help other members who may have the same question find their answer even faster!
- Posts from eBay employees will no longer be pink, but will identifiable by a blue box surrounding the post
- What’s staying the same?
- The following features will be staying the same:
- Left navigation
- Search function
- The Discussion Forums now called Discussion Boards
- eBay Announcements
- Personalized signatures
- Will the forums still be free to use?
- Yes, as always, it’s free to participate!
- When is the change happening?
- Within the next few weeks, eBay India will be updating the Community forums.
- Will I be able to use my eBay user ID and password to log in?
- Yes, you will use the same eBay user ID and password.
- What will happen to my previous posts?
- All of your previous posts will move to the updated forums.
- Is there a report button?
- Yes, if you think that a post is inappropriate, you can click on the "Report Inappropriate Content" link.
- Can you edit and delete your personal posts?
- Yes, you'll be able to edit and delete a post that you've made within 5 minutes of making the post.
- Do I have to sign up as a new user to use the updated forums?
- No. When you visit the updated Community forums the first time, your eBay user ID will log you in automatically. If you are not logged in automatically, you can sign in using your eBay user ID and password by clicking on the “Sign In” button near the upper left side of the page.
- Will you be able to add your own signature to posts?
- Yes, you will be able to add your signature.
- What is Kudos? How can I give Kudos to a post?
- Kudos is ‘Likes’. So when you come across a post that you like, you can express it by clicking on the thumbs-up icon below the post to give it Kudos.
- Can you give multiple Kudos for the same post?
- You can only leave one Kudo for each post.
- Can I provide feedback on this change?
- Yes, we’d love to hear your feedback. We are creating a special discussion board for users to share their feedback and suggestions on the improved Community experience.
- Will the forums continue to be moderated?
- Yes, eBay India will continue to moderate the forums.
- Will other eBay sites change to this new Community platform?
- The updated platform has already been introduced on a lot of eBay sites.
