  • Other MP3 players such as Flash-based USB MP3 players offer a cheaper alternative to iPods, and can, in some cases, double-up as FM receivers
  • Memory Cards for Digital Cameras
  • Home Theatre Systems, especially speakers
  • Other Portable Electronic Items such as VCD / DVD players
Item Specifics
The term “Item specifics” refers to a set of attributes based on which buyers can search for the products of their choice. Item specifics have been selectively rolled out for a few categories. Sellers are asked to enter item specifics while listing their items. These are then displayed to buyers in the Description section on the View Item page. Item specifics have recently been launched in the PDA’s, desktops, and Video games category.

As a seller in this category, you can ensure that your products get included in the Item Specifics search by making sure that each of the attributes (in Digital Cameras these include Digital Camera Type, Brand, Model, Resolution in Megapixels and Zoom) is accurately filled in.

Item specifics need to be entered at the time of listing, either through the Sell Your Item form on the site or through Turbo Lister and other tools.

Item specifics provide an easy way for buyers to find what they are looking for and, overall, provide a better buying experience.

In the coming months, Item Specifics for MP3 players as well as Product Finder for Digital Cameras will be launched.

Picture
As the saying goes, a picture is worth a 1000 words! Pictures are your best choice to offer the “touch and feel” effect to potential buyers, so make sure to add pictures of your item to your listing.

Take close, clear pictures of your item from several angles to show buyers all of the item's details and features.

Starting Price
For an auction, the starting price is the price at which you would like to start the bidding on your item. A low starting price will encourage buyers to bid on your item!

You can start the auction at any price, even as low as Re.1

Item Description
A good item description describes your item in detail to generate buyer interest and to help buyers know exactly what they will get when they bid on or buy your item.

Be sure to include important information such as:

  • Colour and texture
  • Item size or dimensions
  • Brand or manufacturer
  • Year the item was made
  • Item condition (new, used, antique, broken)
  • Any additional information / features unique to your item.
  • Also include your accepted methods of payment, the shipping price, and your return policy in your item description.
  • A Listing Designer enhances your listing and makes your description more attractive.
Shipping and Payment
It is important to inform buyers the payment and shipping options upfront. It helps buyers know the full cost of purchasing the item.

You could offer PaisaPay as one of your payment options as it is a fast, safe, and easy way to receive online payments for your items. Most buyers prefer paying for products online. Learn more about PaisaPay.
