Basic Fees for eBay Shops

You will be charged a monthly Subscription Fee, based on the subscription level, for opening an eBay shop. You will also be charged a Listing Fee in all categories other than Books & Magazines and Movies and Music. If the item sells successfully, you will also be charged a Final Value Fee.

A Note About eBay Fees

• Selling fees are subject to a 10% Service Tax and 3% Cess (Edu: 2% + Sec & High Edu: 1%) thereon, where applicable. Service Tax and Cess will be assessed at the time of invoicing. Learn more about how your balance and subtotal are calculated.

  Starting February 24, 2009 the India service tax rate has changed from 12% to 10%. For all eBay fees the service tax has been computed at the new rate of 10% for all invoices generated on or after February 24, 2009.

• In the event your seller account is suspended for any reason, any amounts due on your Seller account will immediately become due and payable. eBay reserves the right to immediately charge any amounts you have not previously disputed to the billing method that you are using.

• Sellers pay fees for the right to sell on eBay. Sellers do not purchase exclusive rights to Web pages on eBay. eBay may, in our sole discretion, and without your consent or payment to you, place third-party advertisements on any Web page within our site.

• Good 'Til Cancelled listings renew automatically every 30 days unless all of the items sell, you end the listing, or the listing violates an eBay policy. Insertion fees are charged every 30-day period.

• International Listing Fee, Insertion fees for Real Estate and Services and optional feature fees are charged at the time of listing and are non-refundable.

• Final Value Fees are charged once the item is sold and is refunded in the case of an Unpaid Item Dispute.

• Listing Fees are refunded in case the item has an unpaid Item Dispute or ends unsuccessfully. Click here to view the Relist Policy for Listing Fees.
