Picture Manager enables you to store all your pictures as well as store pictures for use in eBay listings. Additionally, you can add security to your pictures by watermarking them with a camera logo as well as with your User ID. You can decide on picture sizes and watermark options when you upload your pictures in the Picture Manager Uploader.

Standardising Picture Size
Picture Manager automatically generates and stores standard picture sizes for you to use in eBay listings

Optimising for eBay listings
Picture Manager will automatically generate a Standard picture (400 pixels on its longest side), a Preview picture (200 pixels on its longest side) and a Thumbnail picture (96 pixels on its longest side). Below are examples of the three picture sizes.

Preview picture (size: 10-20K)

Standard Picture (size 30-40K)

Note: Only the Standard size picture will be counted toward your storage space limit. These picture sizes are standardised to display quickly on the View Item page and with the eBay layouts available in our listing form.

Keeping a copy of your original picture
To store a copy of your original picture, select the “keep a copy of my original pictures" check box.

Note: ".jpg" and ".gif" files will stay in the same file format while all other picture file formats will be converted to ".jpg." Changing the format will not change the dimensions of your picture.

Watermarking your pictures
For added security, you can watermark your pictures with a camera icon watermark or with your User ID (up to 24 characters). Watermarks will be added to the Preview picture and larger picture sizes. All watermarked pictures will be converted to .jpg file format. If you choose to watermark the copy of your original picture, we will convert it to .jpg without changing the picture dimensions.

Camera logo watermark
The camera logo will watermark the lower right corner of the picture. An example of the watermark is displayed in the pictures above.

User ID watermark
You can watermark your User ID on the lower left corner of your Standard picture as well as on the copy of your original picture.

Note: The watermark will consist of only the first 24 characters of your User ID.

Note: To avoid obscuring details of your pictures, watermarks will not be added to any picture having a width that is too small to fit the watermarks or a height that is less than five times the height of the watermarks.
