Selling multiple items

In this article

How it works

If you want to sell multiple items as a single lot to one buyer, you can use an auction-style or Fixed Price format. Just say in the item description that this is a single lot. For example, if you're selling four bowls as a single set, you'd indicate that this is a set of four bowls.

If you have more than one identical item to sell to more than one buyer, you can save time by selling them together in a single listing using the Fixed Price listing format.

Tip: If you often sell the same items, find out how listing them together at a fixed price can improve your standing in search results.

Here's how it works:

  1. You create your listing, specifying "Fixed Price" format and how many items you have for sale. When you’re asked to choose how you’d like to sell your item, enter the number of items you have for sale in the Quantity field on the Fixed Price tab.

Tip: If you can’t enter a number in the Quantity field and don't see an option for Fixed Price format, verify that you meet the requirements.

  2. Buyers purchase one or more of your items.

    • Buyers immediately purchase one or more of your items by clicking the Buy It Now button on your listing.

    • Buyers can keep buying your items until they run out or the listing ends.

Tip: With this listing format, it often pays to choose a longer duration, such as 10-day, 30-day, or Good 'Til Cancelled.

Requirements

  • To list in a Fixed Price format, you need to be registered on eBay India for 14 days or more and should have a feedback of 5.

  • Sell your items for at least Re 1.00 each. The “total value” of your listing (the price times the quantity) must be less than Rs. 21,000,000.

Displaying the quantity of multiple items

If you have more than 10 of the same item to sell, you can choose to show the quantity available as “more than 10”, or show the actual number of items available.

To select whether to show the exact number of items:

  1. Go to My eBay.

  2. Click the Account tab and then click the Site Preferences link in the left navigation.

  3. Under Selling Preferences, click the Show button next to Sell Your Item form and listings.

  4. Click the Edit button next to Show the exact quantity of items in your listing if the quantity exceeds 10.

  5. Select either:

    • Display "More than 10 available" in your listing (if applicable)

    • Display the exact quantity in your listing

  6. Click the Submit button.

Note: If you're viewing your own listing for an item, it will show the exact quantity that you have.

Points to remember

Listing more than one identical item in a format other than Fixed Price (and avoiding paying fees for more than one listing) isn't allowed on eBay. Find out more about avoiding multiple listing fees.
