Using the Text Editor

Improve the formatting of your description

Need help formatting your description? Use the text editor in the Description section of the Sell Your Item form. The text editor helps you format your text like a word processing program, making it easy to add various elements such as bullets, bold, and italics.

To use the text editor:

  1. Go to the Description section of the Sell Your Item form.

  2. Select the text that you want to format

  3. Specify the font, font size, color and other formatting elements.

Format your text to enhance your item description

Well-thought out use of bold, italic, or underlined text can enhance your item's appeal. Aligning text (left, center, right), making bulleted or numbered lists, and increasing or decreasing indents are additional ways to format your text.

Viewing and editing HTML

In the text editor, you have the option of viewing or editing HTML. To add HTML to your description, click the HTML tab in the Description section of the Sell Your Item form. To view your changes, click the Standard tab.
