Customising your search results

You can customise your search results to choose what information appears with each listing and how you want listings to be sorted and displayed. For example, you can display shipping costs in your search results and you can sort to show listings that are ending soonest toward the top of your results page.

When you customise your results, your settings are saved so you don’t have to reset them every time you sign into eBay. If you ever want to remove your customisations, you can restore the default (original) settings.

Customising your search results

To customise your search results:
  1. Search or browse for an item.

  2. Click the “Customise view” link located above the list of results.

  3. In the “Customise your search” window, modify your display settings.

  4. When you’re finished, click the Apply changes button to save your settings.

Restoring the default (original) settings

To return to the original display settings:
  1. Click the "Customise view" link located above the list of results.

  2. Click the "Restore defaults" link.

  3. Click the Apply Changes button.

Ways you can change your search results

Here are just a few of the ways you can customise your search results:

  • Display more item information, such as the item number or location

  • Display more seller information, including the seller’s user ID and Feedback

  • Select the sort order to determine which results are shown first
