Home Page Featured Policy
eBay reserves the right to remove any Home Page Featured item that we determine in our discretion may hurt the credibility of the marketplace or harm eBay’s brand even if the listing otherwise complies with eBay policy. Specific prohibitions include listings that make certain claims about health, body, weight or beauty products which are not shown to be substantiated by appropriate government authorities (please see examples below).
Violations of this policy may result in a range of actions, including:
Listing or Want It Now post cancellation
Forfeit of eBay fees on cancelled listings
Limits placed on account privileges
Loss of PowerSeller status
The following types of listings are not eligible for listing as Home Page Featured Listings:
Listings that promote body enhancement products, such as breast enlargement supplements
Listings for sexual attractants, such as pheromones
Services that include massages /anything that is not explicit
Listings for weight loss products or services
Listings for health or cosmetic products or services that make unrealistic or unsubstantiated claims
Listings for online auction utility software
eBooks or any other downloadable products (such as the ‘Get TV on your PC’ products)
Listings with invites / no items
Lingerie / Swim Wear Products
Why does eBay have this policy?
eBay enforces certain standards for Home Page Featured Listings due to the high visibility of these listings. eBay has always exercised judgment in allowing or disallowing certain listings consistent with the spirit of a worldwide community and we will apply this principle to items that use the Home Page Featured listing upgrades
