As a seller, when you want to list items to sell on eBay India, we give you the option of being a Shop Subscriber (having a personalised shop) listed on the site or be a Non Shop Subscriber. Both the formats as a seller as well as type of store on eBay attract different fee structures. However, a minimal Insertion Fee is charged to both when the item is listed and after the item is sold a Final Value Fee is also charged accordingly. Fees given below are applicable from 17th June, 2011. Further details are as mentioned below:

Insertion Fees

10 Day duration Feature (Listing Upgrade) will continue to be charged at Rs. 25 for listings in the Auction format, and not for Fixed Price.

You will be charged a monthly Subscription Fee, based on the subscription level, for opening an eBay Shop. You will also be charged an Insertion Fee in all categories other than Books & Magazines, Movies & Music, Video & Computer Games, Fun Stuff, Services & Real Estate, and Charity.

If the item sells successfully, you will be charged a Final Value Fee.

Key Points to Remember

• Insertion fees does not include the cost of listing upgrades. Please refer to the listing upgrades section for feature fees.

• The first 100 listings created by any seller on eBay will not be charged the insertion fee. While creating the first 100 listings:

  • If a seller lists an item or relists items individually no insertion fee is displayed or charged.

  • If a seller uses Bulk Relist in My eBay, the insertion fees will be calculated and displayed on the screen but will not be charged to the account. This can be verified after submitting the listing in the seller’s account.

Final Value Fees

The Final Value Fee for Multiple Item Fixed Price listing is calculated per item sold, based on the final sale price of the item.

Minimum Final Value Fee of Rs. 3.00 will be charged.

* The above fees are applicable only if you list a service or real estate using the Classified Ad Format listing. Services or real estate listed with auction-style or Buy It Now listing will be charged a flat rate insertion fee of Rs. 200.00, irrespective of the duration of the listing.

Note: The maximum insertion fee for any Multiple Item Listing is Rs. 90.00.

A Note About eBay Fees

• Selling fees are subject to a 10% Service Tax and 3% Cess (Edu: 2% + Sec & High Edu: 1%) thereon, where applicable. Service Tax and Cess will be assessed at the time of invoicing. Learn more about how your balance and subtotal are calculated.

  Starting February 24, 2009 the India service tax rate has changed from 12% to 10%. For all eBay fees the service tax has been computed at the new rate of 10% for all invoices generated on or after February 24, 2009.

• In the event your seller account is suspended for any reason, any amounts due on your Seller account will immediately become due and payable. eBay reserves the right to immediately charge any amounts you have not previously disputed to the billing method that you are using.

• Good 'Til Cancelled listings renew automatically every 30 days unless all of the items sell, you end the listing, or the listing violates an eBay policy. Insertion fees are charged every 30-day period.

• Sellers pay fees for the right to sell on eBay. Sellers do not purchase exclusive rights to Web pages on eBay. eBay may, in our sole discretion, and without your consent or payment to you, place third-party advertisements on any Web page within our site.

• International Listing Fees, Listing Fees for Real Estate and Services and optional feature fees are charged at the time of listing and are non-refundable.

• Final Value Fees are charged once the item is sold and is refunded in the case of an Unpaid Item Dispute.
