Arun Srinivasan - Head, Retention Marketing & Loyalty programs

eBay is not just a haven for millions of online shoppers and retailers, it is also home to many success stories and one such journey scaled is that of Arun Srinivasan. Arun has been with eBay for 5 years across multiple roles. Following a three year stint with General Motors he embarked on his journey with eBay Motors and then forayed into heading Category Management for Technology categories and Seller Pricing across site. He now manages Retention Marketing & Loyalty programs for eBay India’s buyer. He also supervises eBay’s fast growing Imports business - Global EasyBuy.

He also happens to be one of eBay India’s architects having filed a patent for the design of “eBay Motors Pricebook” - a first of its kind product that estimates and compares prices of used automobiles in India.

When asked about his take on the powerhouse that is eBay, he says, “eBay India is at the forefront of Internet innovation and it feels great to be a part of this growth story.”

Of entrepreneurship on the digital medium he states, “I have great admiration for the enthusiasm and vision of the entrepreneurs who have been the early adopters of the Internet in India - be it with the Automobile dealers at eBay Motors, or the product Sellers on eBay.in. I look forward to opportunities of interacting with the community to gain from their experience and share insights.”

A Dilli-wala at heart, Arun has spent the last 6 years in Mumbai but is still struggling to get used to the hectic pace (and narrow space) of the city. When not brainstorming on new ways of retaining the eBay user base, he finds himself doting over and playing with his one year old son or trying his hand at Yoga! He is also quite the adventure enthusiast proved by all his extensive traipsing in the foothills of Himalayas as a collegian. Add to this the fact that he is a good swimmer!
