PaisaPay Fee Revision - FAQs

Why is eBay making this price revision?

Ever since the inception of PaisaPay with eBay, we have been striving towards improving PaisaPay services to provide better buying and selling experience. Some of our key initiatives in the past have been, increasing Buyer Protection up to Rs.50,000/-, enable our sellers to offer ‘Immediate Payment Required’ on their listings, the recently launched PaisaPay Phone Support and the introduction of eBay Gift Vouchers for PaisaPay transactions. We have also successfully provided our sellers complete protection from any fraudulent chargeback and will continue to invest in stronger risk mitigation systems.

In the last 2½ years (since the eBay India launch in March 2005), while we have seen an increase in our costs of providing the PaisaPay service to our users, we have maintained the price of the service. Going forward, to help us continue to provide enhanced service and experience, we are revising the fees for PaisaPay

Since when is the revised pricing applicable?

All payments done by the buyer using PaisaPay after 11:59 PM IST on 31st October 2007 will be subject to the revised PaisaPay fee.

What is the revised fee for PaisaPay?

How much will the seller be charged for PaisaPay incl. Taxes?

e.g. If a buyer has paid using PaisaPay for an item worth Rs. 1000, the total charge to the seller for PaisaPay will be Rs. 44.944, the break-up is as follows:

Will buyers be charged separately for paying via PaisaPay?

No, PaisaPay will not charge a separate fee to the buyers.

If the seller schedules listings offering PaisaPay via a selling tool, such as Selling Manager, before 1st November 2007, which PaisaPay fee will be charged to the seller?
Starting 11:59 PM on 31st October 2007, ALL listings for all formats (i.e. BIN, SIF, Auctions) where the buyer has paid using PaisaPay, will be subject to the revised pricing. This will be irrespective of when the listings were created.
